from the beach to the bench
This ring is formed from a sea urchin shell I found while walking the beach. I carried it home to New York City, where a family-run casting house in the Diamond District made a mold so it could be cast in precious metal. At my jewelry bench, I refined the metal form into a ring made to be worn and treasured for a lifetime.
The texture catches light in unique ways, inviting a closer look. Made for the one who gravitates toward jewelry with presence, this sculptural statement ring has enough character to stand on its own, with natural sea urchin texture that sets it apart.
Named for Galene, who appears in Greek mythology as the goddess of calm seas. Bold in presence, still in spirit.
